So I have been trying to do a post like this for weeks and I have been struggling. You all know that I love photography and it is something that truly brings me happiness. If I had to choose another career I would be a cupcake maker!!!! I watch cupcake wars like it is the news (oddly enough I never watch the news.?!.). I have been making cupcakes for the last few weeks to try to get a cupcake worth taking a picture of with no success. I have made vanilla, chocolate oreo, luscious lemon. My first attempt was the vanilla cupcake and I was trying to decorate my cupcake while all of the icing was slipping out the side of the tip. It did not help that it was my husbands birthday and I had a audience of around ten people and I was trying to keep my cool. Yes the icing squeezing out of the side...I meant to do that. Although my flavor has been there the look of the cupcakes...uh..um... not good!!! The piping bag and I are not friends. It looks so easy on TV but it is really hard. I went through about six buttercream recipes until oahhhhh!!! Success... Today I made red velvet cupcakes and I finally was not ashamed to share the picture of my cupcakes with you. I will be trying to do more post regarding my cupcake adventures and hopefully I will improve.
